Battle of Lexington 2 Multi-Cache

This cache is located along the Missouri River bluffs, and will require you to walk on/around large boulders, near a creek/waterfall and up/down a steep hill or two. So, make sure you wear your boulder-hopping, bluff-climbing, creek-jumping, thorn-resistant hiking boots. You will have to work hard to walk back to your car, but you asked for a challenge (didn’t you?).

This is the third of 3 caches I am placing in the old town of Lexington, Missouri. The other two are 'Battle of Lexington 1' and 'Madonna of the Trail'. During the Civil war, a battle was fought in Lexington, known as the Battle of the Hemp Bales. There is a sign at the posted coordinates. This sign is part of an interactive tour that starts at the visitor’s center. On the sign is a number you will use to decipher the actual coordinates for the metal ammo box hidden near the battlefield. The box is less than 0.2 miles from the signpost.
