Beaver Creek Canyon contains over 80 acres of dedicated greenway and two miles of trails and boardwalks. The canyon, cut by Beaver Creek, is a hidden secret for even most East County residents. To reach this cache you will need to be able to hike a 1/4 mile trail with 200 feet elevation loss/gain. This cache originally contained a collection of postcards from states around the west.
You may access the network of trails in the canyon from the small neighborhood park on the EAST side of the canyon. There is a nice short trail leading down into the gulch. The west side is currently closed due to complete sections of stairs being demolished, so if you choose this side, proceed down at your own risk. Find your way to the trailhead using a map of Troutdale, descend the trail, and then use your GPS to direct you toward the cache. Satellite reception is not perfect in the cache vicinity. Explore the trails and bridges.

PLEASE NOTE, the cache IS NOT accessible from anywhere along SE Jackson Park Road or the Sandy River area.
The cache is in an ammo can and has had to be replaced twice so it has to be well-hidden and out of view. Upon leaving, please attempt to cover with brush, etc so it will not be plundered by non-cachers.
