Park at the end of Roaring Brook Road in Cheshire, CT. at these coordinates: ( N 41° 28.943 W 72° 56.026) Walk past the gate about 1000 feet to the No Trespassing sign. At this point, follow the public trail on the left which takes you over the stream. If you follow the trail until you get to the waterfall, the climb is not steep. If you bring young children, be very careful as you approach the waterfall area because there are very steep banks and no railings.
Hike starts out pretty level and then inclines as you walk up the boyscout trail. When you approach the cache area, the grade gets steeper and you may encounter loose rocks under foot so please be careful so you don't twist your ankle. Just take your time and enjoy the scenery.
The cache is a medium size tupperware container wrapped in a camouflage sack. It contains: Two Street Atlas CD's, Coloring marker set, Scrabble CD, Work gloves, Deck of cards, 7 in 1 Screwdriver with bits, Pencil/ruler set, Locking Pliers and a Log book. I would like to try something new and keep the McToys out of this cache if that is possible. You know the kind of cache fillers I am referring to. Also, this area is well hiked so please leave the cache site as natural looking as you can when you leave. Thanks and enjoy your visit.
