Miradouro do Ledo
O Ledo é um sítio povoado da freguesia do Arco da Calheta. João Fernandes de Andrade, um dos mais antigos povoadores desta paróquia, fundou no sítio do Ledo, uma capela da invocação de Nossa Senhora do Lanço, que fez sede duma instituição vincular. Também ali existiu a capela de Nossa Senhora do Desterro, edificada por Rafael Esteves, no terceiro quartel do século XVII.
Ledo is a site of the parish of Calheta. João Fernandes de Andrade, one of the oldest settlers of this parish, founded on the site of Ledo, a chapel of the invocation of Nossa Senhora do Lanço, an institution that has established link. Also there existed the chapel of Our Lady of Exile, built by Rafael Esteves, in the third quarter of the seventeenth century.
Neste pequeno e simpático miradouro, podemos encontrar alguns bancos e uma pequena fonte para saciar a sede. Desde aqui podemos nos deslumbrar com uma bela vista panorâmica sobre a povoação de Ledo, tendo o oceano como pano de fundo.
In this small and friendly viewpoint, we can find some benches and a small fountain to quench our thirst. From here we can dazzle with a beautiful panoramic view of the site of Ledo, with the ocean as a backdrop.
