Geocache Description:

Beautiful Mayan Riviera coast.

We recently started geocaching and were excited that there were a few caches in the area where we were staying. There was only one traditional cache in the area of the nearby resorts so we thought it would be fun to hide another in the area.  
We stay at a resort in the area a couple times a year. We also have number of friends that stay at the nearby resorts at different times of the year and will check on the cache when they are in Riviera Maya.
We also have several local resident friends who will check on the cache if something needs to be fixed right away.
We ask that fellow geocachers also conduct any minor maintenance if it is so required. Please note the maintenance in the online log.
It's a smaller clear lock container large enough for some small items and travel bugs.
The cache is located in a clearing in some trees at the top of the rocky beach area that is traveled by many vacationers each day. 

There is a beautiful view of the ocean and rocky shoreline.  It's worth a stroll but be careful walking on the uneven rocky surfaces.
