Geocache Description:

This is near an old The Cashman cache Please enjoy a walk around Lake Macquarie on the Red Bluff Shared Pathway at Warners Bay.

Officially opened on Saturday 17th April 2010, the walkway was built by Lake Macquarie City Council. The boardwalk was built to extend the walking track around the lake. The elevated boardwalk section over the lake is approximately 360m in length and 3m in width, with three viewing decks at regular intervals along the boardwalk. There is nearly 9km of continuous foreshore cycleway between the Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery at Marmong Point and Eleebana Lions Park. In September 2010 Lake Macquarie City Council won the National Award for Excellence from Parks and Leisure Australia (PLA) for innovative work for the construction of Red Bluff Shared Pathway at Eleebana. The Council has built a magnificent and very elaborate boardwalk. They could have easily built a simple wooden boardwalk for far less money to do the same job.

. Thanks Cashman for the effort you put in to this one
