The bridge location has some steep drops to the river. Keep an eye on any little ones watch your step and you should have no problems. Caches are not placed in any dangerous positions or near the water. Parking is available at the waypoint provided at the intersection of Taylors Valley Rd and Witter Ln. There is some bush whacking through tall weeds along the track for the first 1000ft but then it’s pretty clear. Be safe and enjoy. Thanks for looking!!!
Darkened Flame
Back in the time of steam locomotives communication was vital for running the trains effectively. Distance and noise in the train yards and along the rails made this very difficult. Radio devices were not available during this period so they had to come up with a system to signal each other. Kerosene lanterns became the most effective communication system at night. Railroad lanterns were an efficient and portable light source that could be seen over long distances.
