Karabori river is a tier 1 river that flows through Tokyo prefecture. It is part of the Arakawa Yanasegawa tributary water system (tertiary tributary). The total length is approximately 15km.
The river originates in the hills of Noyama Kita Prefectural Park in Musashimurayma. For the most part the river flows from west to east merging with the Narahashi River in the the Takagi district of Higashi Yamato City. After that the river merges with the Yanasegawa River near the Kiyose Bridge on Koganei Highway in the Nakazato district of Kiyose City.
Normally the river was prone to flood when it rains but once during the flooding season the river dried up (that is where the river got its name from). During a period of rapid economic growth of the area household wastewater was drained into the river polluting it. Measures were taken to clean up the river and now it is clean enough to play in and for carp to live.

空堀川は、東京都を流れる一級河川。荒川水系の柳瀬川支流（三次支流）。総延長は約15km。
東京都武蔵村山市本町の都立野山北公園域内の丘陵に源を発する。概ね東へ流れ、東大和市高木で奈良橋川が合流する。そして清瀬市中里の小金井街道清瀬橋付近で柳瀬川に合流する。
かつては渇水期に水がなくなる（そのことから空堀と呼ばれる）一方で大雨が降ると洪水が起きる「荒れ川」であった。高度経済成長期には生活廃水が流れ込み、酷く汚れた川であったが、その後の対策が進み、現在では水遊びができるほか、鯉などが泳ぐ川になっている。
