This hunt will test your Star Trek expertise, challenging you to answer a series of trivia questions regarding the world renowned series. Worry not if you are not a Trekkie, the cartridge is writ in such a way that you would have to try very hard to fail. In fact, because it is a Riffster Wherigo, it is recommended that you answer wrong, just to see what happens.
So mount your trusty geo-steed and go forth! Extra kudos for those who peddle a Trek bicycle during this quest and/or upload photos of themselves giving a Vulcan hand salute.
Be sure you pay the $2.00 day use fee, prior to beginning your journey. This mountain bike trail has been rated as moderate by many cyclist groups, and contains inherent hazards for anyone unfamiliar with the activity. Use appropriate caution, wear necessary safety equipment and never out ride your skill level. There are many twists, turns, obstructions, soft spots and pokey things which can cause you significant injury. If you go too fast, you won't be able to stop in time to avoid them. Because these trails are so narrow, and so winding, getting disoriented is fairly easy. A GPSr with a tracklog would come in handy. I have a .gpx file that includes most of the trails out there. Your Trek begins at the Kiosk Zone.
As this is a Wherigo cache, you will need to download the cartridge from the link near the top of the page. There are many devices out there which will play these cartridges, to include the Garmin Oregon GPSr, as well as the iPhone and Android smart phones, with the proper app installed. Once installed, hit the “Play” button, which will guide you to the first zone, “Kiosk”, located on Snow Hill Rd just south of the Econlockhatchee River. Once your device senses that you are in the zone, you will be prompted to answer a question. Answer it correctly, and you will be given another zone to go to. Repeat this process a dozen times, and you'll have the ammo can in your hot little hands. Whoo Hoo!!
