Geocache Description:


The cache is NOT at the above coordinates 

Frodo edged Sting from its scabbard. It glowed with a pale blue light. There were orcs nearby. Frodo’s elven cloak turned a dull green in color making him seem to merge with the surrounding vegetation. Pippin and Sam stood on either side of Frodo. Legolas shifted uneasily setting an arrow onto his bow. Gimli moved his axe from one hand to the other.
 
“We don’t have much time,” Gandalf said. “We must leave at once, but if only the elves had given us some sign on where to go.”
 
Just then he saw something sparkling at his feet.
 
“What’s this?” he said reaching down and picking up a rock. Something was written on it in glittering letters:

“Now I know where to go,” Gandalf murmured. “Quick, my friends, let us make haste!”

Scenes from “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy and from “The Hobbit” were filmed near here and in Glenorchy.
 
Bring your own writing instrument. Room for one car to park. Be careful with children. Cache is Gollum Green in color. Please replace carefully.
