Geocache Description:

This cache is located off Grant's trail at the historic Sappington house. The Sappington house is thought to be the oldest brick house in St. Louis County. The Sappington family was friends with Daniel Boone and followed him to the St. Louis area in 1804. When Thomas Sappington married Mary Ann Kinkead in 1808, he went to Kentucky to gather plans plans for the house and construction began soon after. No nails were used to build the house; instead wooden pegs hold its framework together.

At the coordinates: N 38° 33.868 W 090° 23.112 you will find a sign with some information about the Sappington house. You will need to gather information here to get the coordinates for the final.

Take the year the Sappington House was built and subtract 1028. Use this number to replace the last three digits of the north coordinates - N 38° 33.XXX.
