If you park at a trailhead off Elmwood Road you can take the trail past Boulder Brook, through the woodlands, marshes, meadows, and see several "glacial erratics". You can view Elephant Rock, which is a large boulder moved by the glacier to this spot 10,000 years ago. You should follow the trail to Rocky Ledges, the highest point in Wellesley. These ledges are composed of Precambrian granites and diorites and were formed from molten magma several miles below the earth's surface 600,000,000 years ago. There are other ways to approach the cache, but this one is the most picturesque.
This cache is for cat lovers! We have placed a picture of two of our cats in the cache. We invite you to add pictures of your cats. Periodically we will take pictures of your photographs and put them up on the site. Feel free to put your cat's name on the picture even though we will not be adding names to the pictures on the web page.
There are bound to be cat toys and cat treats along with other cat related goodies in this cache.
