This is a nano cache. You can park your car in such a way that no muggle will see you grab the cache.
The cahe was placed by Tomlet in 2012 and I took over the cache in mid 2014.
This proud SAR Class 16 DA locomotive was built in 1929 in the city of Eddystone in the USA. It worked fast passenger trains between Braamfontein and Kimberley and Braamfontein and Kroonstad. The locomotive retired in 1973 after having done 2 800 000 kilometers. Locomotive 850 was brought to Theunissen in 1976 and plinthed at the northern side of the town. Since 1994 it was vandalized badly and stripped of many fittings. The Land Service Movement of the Theunissen High School renovated it in 1999. After a decade our locomotive was nearly ruined and a sorry sight. The Outdoor School Koppiesvlei initiated a renovation in 2012 and with donations from the community special consideration was given to restore the locomotive in it's original plinth colors.
It is now again Theunissen's pride.
