Geocache Description:

Save the Loop, Save the World

A Christmas Time Cleanup

If you have been to Midland recently, you know that the area around here is insanely busy with traffic, oilfield workers, everyone and their dog driving around and unforutnatly we also have alot of trash.  The Christmas Season is upon us and things get even busier then, including trash building up all over town.

I was recently contacted by Keep Midland Beautiful to see if our group wanted to get in some extra cleanup time, I of couse said yes and asked them where they wanted us to clean.

So here is is, on December 22, 2012 at 8 AM we will have a CITO event on the loop in Midland.  We will start at the posted coordinates with plenty of parking for all that want to attend, we will be cleaning the north service road of the loop between there and Midland Drive cleaning both sides of the North Side service road.  If time permits we will also go south from the parking coordinates and clean to Wadley.  Cleanup is over at 11 AM.

We will be working with the Midland Police Department who will be patrolling the area more than usual to help keep us as safe as possible.  Due to the high traffic area no Kids will be allowed, we will follow same safety rules as we do when cleaning the Highway.

Please post your "Will Attend" as soon as you think you will be there, I need to know what supplies and vests to bring.
