This cache is being placed to honor the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country in the U.S, Armed Forces. You are looking for the bronze grave marker of PFC William D. Adams, U.S. Army
The Silver Star, referred to as the Silver Star Medal by the Navy and Marine Corps, is the third highest military decoration be awarded to any person serving in any capacity with the United States Armed Forces. The medal is awarded for gallantry in action against an enemy of the United States. PFC William D. Adams served in the U.S Army with the 350th Infantry Regiment in the 88th Infantry Division in Italy. PFC Adams was also awarded the Purple Heart Medal for being wounded in action with enemy forces.
