Bikes and Bumps (Waikato) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Andy&Kelly: As noted a few times previously on this log we no longer live in the area and have failed to find anybody to take over care of this cache.

It has fended for itself for 2 years but given that it hasn't been found for several months and the DNFs are building up it is with regret that we are archiving Bikes and Bumps. If we pass through again and have the opportunity we may try to resurrect it but for now it's archived.

Feel free to place something here yourself - it's a great spot for a cahce.

Geocache Description:

This is our first cache so we chose somewhere awesome!

Warning - this can be a high muggle area, though many of them are doing awesome things (especially considering they are muggles).

The cache is in an extremely unusual and original container which took loads of thought and hard work .... a mint tin (bear with us it's our first cache).

Cambridge BMX club moved here in the 2011/12 season.
It's the home of the BMX NZ National championships and mad muggles can be seen most evenings whizzing back and forth over the massive moguls at breakneck speeds. In fact when the muggle quotient is high watching the loonies do their thing is probably much more fun than scrabbling around for mint tins! Club nights are Thursday so it's muggle central. Dates and events are on the CBBMX website. It's a booming little club. At the recent twilight competition 500 riders were registered to ride!

You can sit for a moto and watch the holeshot pumping from the start gate go over the doublet, triples and tabletops, manual over a roller and bunny hop to the main! (eh?).

There is plenty of parking on the verge, on Lamb Street and Milton Street. The entry is by the Cambridge BMX Club sign

PLEASE NOTE
Leave the flowers at GZ alone - they have done nothing to you!
