On a weekend or holidays I like to go for a nice long walk with my family through Worcester Woods and the surrounding fields in the summer I enjoy picking blackberries by the orchard, finishing with a hot chocolate in the café.
It is possible to catch a bus from town, park on Spetchly Road (however this may prove difficult during term time and office working hours), parking is available at Worcester countryside centre (postcode WR5 2LG) gates open at 9 am and close at 5 pm. This cache is a small red clipbox container (unfortunately the previously small clip box which was a bit bigger was muggled
) , this is where I sometimes wait for a bus to go to town, where I noticed a feature made of tree, I wonder if as well as the cache you can find the smiling tree log? In fact as well a featured tree you can see the scene in “Fainheart” where the security guard gets hit on the head with the barrier.
A short distance away are the lakes around Worcestershire County Council buildings, the ducks and swans are quite hungry now that the car boot sales have finished at the Countryside centre so if you come over please bring some bread as well, if you have little ones then please be aware that there are no railings around the lakes so take care.
Well done to Buttercup and Stormystorm for FTF
