There is one swimming hole down the road and there is one here, a short walk from the road. There is usually room to park one car near the barriers on the north side of the road. More cars can park across the road by the guardrail. There may not be any plowed parking in the winter.
The cache is out of sight of the swimming hole. Some bushwhacking may be involved. You will be looking for a black bison tube container attached to a stick wedged in place, just out of sight. It’s not very winter-friendly.
This swimming hole is part of Fort Dummer State Park. There is a trail leading from the park to get to the hole, but you would have to swim the brook to get to it. The cache is hidden on an adjacent state-owned parcel.
