A cache placed to celebrate December 12th, 2012...or 12-12-12
Well, I started this little tradition with 9-9-9, continued it with 10-10-10 , and last year followed up with 11-11-11, and now the last of the saga...12-12-12. Last year was crazy, everything being released on this day, but nothing dramatic this time around. Just a good move coming out in 2 days, and a supposed Mayan doomsday on the 21st, but Groundspeak is putting out a souvenir for getting a cache for the 12th, so why not this one?
So trivia about the number 12.... hmm, 12 is a dozen, and a dozen dozen is a gross, but a baker's dozen is not 12. Guess baker's can't count.
A shape with 12 sides is a dodecagon, and a solid with 12 faces is a dodecahedron. The latter, being the 1d12 die from Dungeons and Dragons. There are 12 months in a year, and 12 official Zodiac signs. There should be a 13th, but hey...12 months....12 signs.
the human body has 12 cranial nerves, and the duodenum, the first part of the small intestine is....12 inches long.
12 is the number of apostles, and of the Days of Christmas.
12 is also the number of Angry Men in a traditional jury.
Anyway, the cache. Just a small bison tube in an obvious spot. No pen, so bring your own.
