Welcome to the Goose Creek State Park GeoCache Trail,
the first of its kind in a NC State Park! The success of this pilot trail could lead to more geocaching trails at other NC State Parks. Caches will be archived in late December 2013 to allow for a brand new trail with more hides in 2014.
About the trail- There are 15 hides;
12 are camo 35mm within 3 FEET of the foot path-- NO BUSHWHACKING is required. Stay on the designated trails.
The remaining 3 are hanging bison tubes on man made structures.
DO NOT HIDE any caches without first going through the NC State Parks special permit process (and fees).
Bikes are NOT permitted on trails.
**Parking available near all trail heads. You do not have to hike the entire park to reach each cache. Paper maps are available at the Education Center and at kiosks throughout the park.
Park Hours
November - February 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
March - May, September & October 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
June - August 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Closed Christmas Day
***All cache coordinates are on file with the park office. Application and permit are on file at the GCSP Education Center office.
