Many people like to decorate a tree at Christmas. Here's your chance to help decorate one that won't have to come down soon after the holidays.
If you like, bring one or more ornaments to hang on this tree. (Don't we all have some of those plastic balls that we'd be only too happy to part with?) There are ornament hangers in the cache for your use. Ornaments should be appropriate for the outdoors. They should be durable (not glass) and should stay in good condition (not metal that will rust, or paper which will turn into a soggy wad.)
Please do not remove any of the ornaments hanging on the tree. They are not trade items.
As time goes by, we will have a Christmas tree that gathers more and more colorful ornaments on its limbs for all cachers to enjoy year-round.
Using the letterbox instructions to locate this special tree will be very easy.
1. Park on the west side of Reservation Road either 1.1 miles from Hwy 510 or 1.7 miles from Old Pacific Hwy. (cachers - at the stated coordinates)
2. Start down the little social trail just south of the sign for 25th Ave. Walk toward the large brush pile directly west of you.
3. Go around the north side (your right as you approach it) of the brush pile for easiest access.
4. Then head to the very tall tree and again go past it on the north/right side.
5. Continue straight over the little hill and you will soon see the decorated Christmas tree.
My first present to cachers is to give you the final coordinates for the cache without solving an esoteric puzzle. They are only a few hundred feet off the road: N 47° 01.457 W 122° 41.775.
My second present is that this is a letterbox hybrid to help your stats.
Happy Holidays! (And remember, “Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.")
