Sea the Sea Wall Traditional Cache
jennydoug: Sadly this cache has run its course. The terrain has changed and it is no longer a good place for a cache. So reluctantly, I have archived it.

Another cache for the beautiful Low Head area. Park at about S41 03.796 E146 47.694 and walk to the cache. It is sandy and a bit rocky, and the weather can be challenging!! Anyone who knows Low Head will understand what I mean.
This cache is micro to small, with natural cammo. Please replace exactly as you found it. Bring your own pen.
It is hidden in the vicinity of the breakwater, which was constructed to provide a safe harbour for the Pilot Boat.
There are great views from the cache, out to sea, back to the Pilot Station, and southwards up the river towards George Town.
You can throw a fishing line out from the breakwater, and the diving in the area surrounding the Fish Beacon just off the wall is world class.
The Low Head Pilot Station has operated continuously since 1805.
You may have time to visit the Maritime Museum at the Pilot Station, and find out some of the local history.
