Geocache Description:

ENG: Abandoned village in the Ukrainian countryside. It’s best to approach by car, motorbike or bicycle from south-west outside the town Narodychi (Народичі).

ENG: Stare Sharne (Старе Шарне) had 570 inhabitants in 1981. After the Chernobyl accident in 1986 this area became radioactive and the village was mostly abandoned but kept its status as village until 2007.

The roads in this village are of relatively good conditions and it is possible to drive with a car on most of them. There are many remains of houses and other buildings. Some in very bad conditions, but some in not so bad condition. I recommend this place for anyone that likes modern history and if you have more information about this village please share that with us in your log.
