Lucky Dip Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is hidden within Cairn Wood in Craigantlet were there are 3 other caches up for grabs. This one however is closer to the main road than the rest and does not involve the steeper paths and will be reasonably buggy and wheelchair friendly although help will be required reaching the container.
Cairn Wood is a mixture of old Beech Trees and other traditional diciduous trees and Forestry Commision spruce trees. Its a beautiful place to take a walk and possibly spot a red squirrel. It is a popular place for dog walkers so watch out for dog logs.....there are plenty.
This cache is contained in my BIGGEST container to date. The trick will be not so much in locating it but locating the log without causing a mess !!!! All will become clear...... stealth is probably the order of the day rather than diving in.
There are swaps in there, a travel bug and a log and other .....stuff.
Remember, if you are trading....trade up or equal and if you see any trash....stick it in the bin on the way out.
Dog owners...lift those logs from your dogs.
I think I put a pen or pencil in but on my next visit I will make sure.
