Geocache Description:

According to religious tradition, there are 7 "Guardian" angels.    Uriel is the first cache placed in the series based on these seven angels.   Once you have found all seven of the individual caches/angels, you will be able to find the “Celestial City” – the 8th and final cache in this series, which will be hopefully published on Christmas day, December 25th, or very soon after.

Each of the 8 caches will be located on a guardrail (thus the name “GUARDian Angels) somewhere near the Union, Washington, St. Clair area.  Each of the first seven angel caches will contain a gold number which you will need to write down, along with the corresponding angel name, in order to solve the final "Celestial City" location. Hopefully this series will add a little fun to the general dislike of guardrail caches!

Uriel means “Light of God” or “Fire of God”.  Although not mentioned by name in Bible, this angel is mentioned in other non-canonical writings held sacred by many religious groups.    By tradition he is one of the angels who stood guard at the gate of Eden after God kicked out Adam and Eve for eating the forbidden fruit and also checked the door posts for the blood at the time of Moses during the last Egyptian plague.     The picture on the background is from the Mosaic of St. Uriel at St John’s Church, Boreham, Wiltshire.

This cache is wheel chair accessible. You cannot park right next to the cache, but parking is very close by. BYOP.
