The elves made their home in the forest, hidden within the trees. They sang to the earth and the ground rose up for them. They whispered to the streams and the water churned for them. Deep within the hollow, the elves called a low sad song. It was the song of Naria, the ancient emerald of the forest. The elves hid the stone so it would not be stolen, but they left instructions for others to find it.

At the posted coordinates you will find some steps going through the creek. Count the number of steps (including the stepping stone) and call this number X (checksum 3). Take X + 20 and add this number to your North decimal minutes (787+X+20). Now take X + 30 and add this number to your West decimal minutes (453+X+30). Use the new North and West coordinates to find the great Oak of the forest.
The great oak is located near the path. There used to be another letterbox at this location. Once you have found it travel 148 feet at a bearing of 60 degrees. The letterbox is located within the forest. There is also an alternate listing on the letterboxing website here. Please return the container just as you found it. Enjoy!
You can check your final coordinates within 25 feet here.
