This is our little geo(Race)rs first series. He loves trains, or as he calls them, Whoo Whoo's! The cache's in this series will be placed close to areas where you can observe trains or train related monuments, displays and etc. Please enjoy the series, and we would love to show our little one pictures of those who find them as well, so feel free to share! :)
The historic Dowagiac Depot was built in 1903 by the Michigan Central Railroad. It is a Gothic architecture design which was restored in 1995. This cache was placed with permission from the Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce and the City Of Dowagiac.
The replacement cache is now inside the Dowagiac Depot due to the last one being muggled. The new cache is a plastic ammo can hidden near the grey bench inside. The depot is only open Monday thru Friday from 8am to 4pm. Happy caching!
