Folkvang Follebu Traditional Cache

A cache in a place that once had great activity.

The cache is placed in a somewhat unkept and overgrown area. But once is was the centre of activities in Follebu.
In 1885 a general store was built on the premises. This store got new buildings in 1912. A storehouse was also built.

The main building had the the general store, post office, telephone exchange ( Follebu had for a while it's own telephone company with 12 subscribers). On the first floor ther was conference hall. In addition there were two apartments.

But the building lasted only a few years. It burned down in 1918.

A new building was put up on part of the foundations from the one that mburned dowm. This building held the laudry facilities for the sanatorium at Kornhaug.When the main road got a separate lane for pedestrians around 2004, this bulding also had to go. The location is still known as Vaskeritomta ( The Laudry Site).

Parking : Parking should be easy in the center of Follebu(around 200 meters away.

The cache: is a one-man army food container.Contains the usual and some X-mas items.
