I have been to many, many amusement parks over the years.

A good amusement park promises thrills, spectacular heights, cold water splashes, lots of walking (and waiting), crowds, expensive admission and greasy expensive food.

As I have been out geocaching recently I realize that amusement parks have lost some of their appeal. I think geocaching is better than amusement parks.





Here at Younger's Creek you can find spectacular heights, lots of knobs to climb, awesome views, rushing cold creeks, wildlife, trees and forests, trails and off trails to explore, quiet and solitude or the companionship of friends, water and snacks brought from home, and all this is free.


I remember hiking here with Bees4me on March 24,2009 as we completed the Air Raid Challenge GCVBAY. That is a day I remember well, with many fond memories.
