After finding over 80 caches, we decided to do our part and put up our very first cache in the prestine forests of Gainesville State College. The cache is near the beginning of the trail about 50 feet off the beaten path. It's in a small Emerald Nuts container but big enough to leave some little items.
This is the first installment in our "GSC" series. It will be best to look for this cache either after school hours (after 5pm Monday-Thursday and after 3pm Fridays), weekends, or holidays. These trails are open for the public to walk, run, and cycle on. Muggles should not be a problem; most everyone who utilizes these trails just keep on the trails and mind their own business.
In Janurary of 2013, GSC will no longer be GSC; instead, we are joining forces with North GA, and we will become UNG-- University of North Georgia. With the change of name also comes a change in mascot. Laker the Fighting Goose, our GSC mascot, will always be our mascot in heart. We dedicate our first cache to him, hence the name "Laker's Stump."
Enjoy the cache! We hope to be adding more to the GSC series soon! Go Fighting Geese!
Congrats to Bobemkat for the FTF!
