Like a big pizza pie, that's amore'???...I can't take this one much further! One more try..."When the Half moon conure hits your eye, it will make you start to cry! That's amore'." Okay. If this was the Gong Show, I would have been gonged half way thru the title! Let me tell you a little bit about Half moon conures: The Orange-fronted Parakeet or Orange-fronted Conure, also known as the Half-moon Conure, is a medium-sized parrot which is a resident from western Mexico to Costa Rica. Half-Moon Conures are often confused with their slightly more common cousin, the Peach Fronted Conure, by novice aviculturists; the major giveaway is that the Half-Moon has a horn coloured beak while the Peach Front's is black. Like most Conures, Half-Moons are sociable and enjoy a lot of activity, so they do well in busy households provided they receive enough attention and stimulation through foraging activities and positive-reinforcement training. They are relatively uncommon and thus more expensive to purchase than a Green Cheek or a Sun Conure, but they are every bit as suitable as a companion parrot. Half Moon Conures are quiet, intelligent and playful. These are a great choice for apartment dwellers or pet parents looking for a quieter companion compared to other Conures. And in case you thought of this ahead of time NO, you may not 'half-moon' anyone on this busy road while getting this cache unless your 'half- moon' is on your forehead like BOSSco's is!
