Sandboarding Prohibited Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Umsizi: Hi family Behrens

Due to no response after the request to maintain or replace the cache, I am archiving it to, stop it showing on the listings and/or to create place for the geocaching community.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival. This is explained in the Help Center.

If the CO feels that this cache has been archived in error please feel free to contact me within 30 days, via email or message via my profile ,quoting the GC number concerned

Geocache Description:

An easy park and grab cache at the start of the Peers cave walk.
Take your own pen/pencil. Please use stealth when retrieving and replacing the cache. (Please place it back the way you found it.
Smile

Peers Cave It isn’t really a cave in the sense that you get deep inside a hole with only a smallish opening from which to view the world beyond. Rather it has a huge overhang and is almost hewn into a series of incredible rock faces that provide a large space in which I can imagine the Khoikhoi of yesteryear lighting fires and generally going about their business. It is also well protected from the north easterly wind by a projecting roof, and the views out over Fish Hoek, Sun Valley and beyond are fantastic.

Park at the Fish Hoek sports grounds, which you reach from Kommetjie Road between Sun Valley and Fish Hoek – follow the signs.
Head for the dunes. The signpost is marked Peer’s Hill.

Please don't upload any spoiler pictures of the cache or the hide, on geocaching.com or any other social networking sites. Thanks family Behrens.

No need to leave the path/trample vegetation to find the cache. A big thanks to Leighan Mossop Senior Section Ranger: Central Section Table Mountain National Park For The permission to place this cache.
