Geocache Description:

A cache placed in Ferniehurst Dell, Baildon where you can enjoy a short walk through the woodland

Bored on a Sunday afternoon, Ella and Trudy decided to place a cache in a lovely hidden away woodland in Baildon. The Ferniehurst Dell is a short walk from the main road which takes you uphill through a small woods and at the top there is another geocache (premium members only). It is a popular place for dogwalkers and we decided it deserved another cache. The rocks around the cache can be a little slippy when wet so please be careful. The cache is a small clip lock box containing a few small goodies and logbook/pen, there's also TB in the cache for the FTF to retrieve.
There are ruins of a building which was Edward Salt's (Sir Titus Salt's son) property in 1862. There is more information on signposts as you walk through the Dell if you are interested.
