Located in an area that I have used for other caches. Some small animal trails. Mostly Bushwhacking. Create a way-point when you start your journey or you may get lost back here. Although I have been told that hunting is no longer allowed, there are existing tree stands. Wear Orange during the appropriate season for safety. No Night Caching here.
The ancient Mayan civilization used a Mesoamerican long count calendar to calculate the occurrence of a "galactic alignment" — a rare astronomical event during which the sun will supposedly align with the Milky Way galaxy. It happens just once every 26,000 years, and according to Mayan calendars, and our historians, this event will take place on December 21 2012. There are groups who claim that an uncharted, unseen planet called Nibiru will strike Earth or nearly miss it; that the Earth’s polarity will reverse (so that north is south and south is north), wreaking widespread havoc. Another theory is that on December 21 2012, the earth will stop spinning and start spinning in the opposite direction throwing everything off the planet. As recently as a few weeks ago, NASA has declared there is nothing in space that will cause us such impact as to stop the spinning of the earth. And I’ve been told, the Pope has declared that we’ll be fine and the world will be here on December 22ond. Although scientists and many Maya scholars insist that there is nothing to most of the predictions, these predictions have been around for many years. But, if you are reading this description, then WE’RE STILL HERE. Some of the Mayan temples were found hidden deep in the jungles of South America. As this is a cache of theme, this too is hidden deep in the jungle. Please only park at the parking coordinates. This cache is located somewhat near a busy highway, but parking on the side of the road is both illegal and dangerous. Wear long pants, set a waypoint when you enter the jungle and enjoy the long walk. There is an unactivated theme related coin for First to Find and a smaller unactivated Travel Bug for Second to Find. Please hide the container as well or better.
