This is an event to celebrate 2013. Bring food or drink if you are so inspired!
By the time this event takes place, it will be the year 2013. We've survived another year. Unlike any other year before, 2012 had an apocalyptic curse from the Mayan calendar. Their calendar ended on December 21, 2012 and a whole horde of doomsday buffs predicted a cataclysmic demise to our planet. These end-of-the-world fans called for everything from a comet colliding with Earth to the magnetic fields flip-flopping, causing incredibly strong earthquakes and enormously large tsunamis to innundate the world. One wacky soothsayer said the world would be invaded by flesh-eating zombies. Well, they were wrong, weren't they!
To celebrate our survival, teamCull is inviting all surviving geocachers to our home at 5103 Pine Street in Bellaire on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 3-5 p.m. We will offer some light food, but if you are so inspired, please feel free to bring something to eat or drink. We would love to see y'all.
So put on your favorite Mayan outfit that you bought at Uxmal or Chitzen Itza and come on down. We can talk about our caching experiences of 2012 or the latest in gps technology. We may even think up a couple of games with prizes.
Help us celebrate 2013, the year that wasn't supposed to happen. Please RSVP so we know how many folks to expect.
