A Fisherman's Friend Traditional Cache
missvicki04: Thank you to everyone who visited my first cache. It was truly a learning experience for hiding cache's. Unfortunately it was muggled by some teenager's so I will not be replacing this cache. I do plan on hiding another one in Bay Ridge's soon though.

A fair sized park and grab cache that is large enough for small TB and geocoins. Hope you enjoy!
I may have lived in Barrie for the first 12 years of my life but Pickering has always been a true home, especially Bay Ridges. This cache was hidden in a nice unknown area in Bay Ridges. On occasion fox kits, coyotes and swans can be found in the surrounding area, along with the all to common Canadian Geese.
This specific area was once quite the popular fishing spot but through the years the water level has dropped and so has the fish population. On many occasions I would fish underneath the tree which now has the fort built in it. Many times you would only hear the faint roar of the GO train and the croaks of frogs around you, the supposed best friend of any fisherman.
Nowadays the area is no longer fisherman friendly but the frog's are still around. Once you arrive at this location there will be a clearly marked path which you can follow towards the cache, which is slightly off the trail. If you get to the tree fort then you have gone past the cache. Good luck!
Congrats to Skyecat and CarolynCL on their joint FTF!!
