Geocache Description:

I got the idea for this challenge cache from IndyMagicMan, who gave permission to copy his cache. The cache is at the posted coordinates. Please read the description for logging requirements. Hide difficulty is rated 1.5 and terrain 1.0.

The cache is at the posted coordinates. Please read the description for logging requirements. Hide difficulty is rated 1.0 and terrain 1.0. To log a “Found it” for this cache, in addition to finding the cache and signing the logbook you must have: Found caches with a total distance from your home coordinates of at least 500 thousand miles. Demonstrate this logging requirement any way you see fit but you must provide reasonable documentation that you meet the requirement. Here are examples of four ways this could be done. 1. DL a my finds PQ into GSAK centered on you're home coords and tally the miles. 2.Use the FindStasGen macro for GSAK and calculate “Distance from Home” which will display an “Average Distance”. Multiply this number by your total finds. 3.Use Statistics on your Geocaching.com profile and calculate a total “Distance to Finds”. You’re going to have to use the lower number in the range here and will lose a lot of miles. 4.If you try to calculate this next way please let someone close to you know so they can put the suicide prevention hotline on speed-dial. Geocaching.com calculates the distance for a cache from your home coords. Go through all of your finds and record this number then sum the total. Take a picture of the tear soaked paper you wrote this down on, or the bullet riddled monitor with the spreadsheet these numbers were entered in to. There's a large world filled with caches out there. Grab a few extra while on vacation or plan a few road trips and perhaps you'll discover Half a Million Miles from Home is not as far as it seems.
