Geocache Description:

Hawke's Bay Trails was born out of the vision to create a seaside pathway for Napier.  Over 10 years later, Hawke's Bay now boasts over 180 km of cycle trails that meander around and between the twin cities of Napier and Hastings.

This trail is part of the larger "Water Ride" section, which is currently 86km long
This section brings you along the trail from Pakowhai to the nearby township of Clive

To learn more about these great trails visit the link below www.nzcycletrail/hawkes-bay-trails

Hunting may occur along this section in May and June

Whitebait is a collective term for the immature fry of fish, typically between 25 and 50 millimetres long. Such young fish often travel together in schools along the coast, and move into estuaries and sometimes up rivers where they can be easily caught with fine meshed fishing nets (source Wikipedia)

This area is protected by the Department of Conservation (DOC) and the Hawkes Bay Regional Council.  This cache is located on the boundary of this area. There is NO need to cross the electric fence to locate this cache!
