This cache has been archived.

Arecibo33: I thought this hide was a good idea at the time but ran into unanticipated problems, so I am archiving this for now. I may set another one out like this at a later date.

Geocache Description:

Easy terrain but a very difficult find due to the relatively small size and lack of 'landmarks' i.e. obvious hiding places.
Container is a waterproof match holder hidden within a hollow post cut off just above ground level.
You wont be able to see it until you are almost on top of it.

CONGRADULATIONS to SOUTHERN GOLD & LOUIE69 for First to Find!!!!

This cache is a culmination of several ideas I have had that has coalesced into one evil little cache.
What prompted me to do this cache in the first place are those dreaded Evergreen bushes of various species. A small cache hidden in an evergreen with numerous and painfully frustrating options. I tend to shy away from those or give them little effort as some are just riduculously hard and most leave me scratched and bleeding LOL
This cache is just the opposite, although small, and difficult to find, it is easy to get to and retrieve. No need to worry about little pokey bleedies like with most shrubbery.
TRUST YOUR GPS. Make sure you have the best accuracy possible, this will make the find much easier. I used my Magellan eXplorist 110 and phone GPS to compare reading and both had an accuracy of 15 feet and both read within a digit or two of each other, so the coordinates will get you within sight just feet away from cache. So once again, TRUST YOUR GPS.
I'm adding a little something to help verify your location, this will require the use of a compass, lensatic preferably, to triangulate your position. This will further home you in on the cache if you dont fully trust your GPS.
I shot azimuths to 3 objects in the area:

Sign at entrance to campground : 25 deg

Electric pole : 70 deg

Big tree at left side of small grove : 340 deg
(When you face general direction, you will know which one)

Line up those 3 azimuths and you should be standing right on top of the cache, LITERALLY
