Just 1/4 mile north of I-35 at Exit 176 at the end of the blacktop road. This is almost a P & G; just a short walk to the cache location. You are looking for a small/medium size container which is filled with swag and can hold most TBs and coins.
While there are several recent placements here (not counting the several pets as you enter), this appears to be another broken down uncared for place.
Corporal William Lafayette Masters, of the 91st Illinois Infantry, and his wife, Cornelia, are on the path to or from the cache.
Sorry that I can't find much history on this place. As far as I can tell, the oldest stone here dates back to 1868. There are 21 before 1900, 2 between 1900 and 2000, 1 in 2004 and 1 in 2011.
Judging from appearances, it seems there are not any relatives left who care to fix the place up any.
The first name I had for this cache location was 'Broken Stones.' Just kinda sad conditions here but still very interesting. I thought the ground here was oddly spongy....
