Geocache Description:


"Koiwa" station is located in JR Sobu-line. This station is the east end of Tokyo. Next station "Ichikawa" station is in Chiba-pref. There are lots of small cheap but yummy restrants and Japanese bars called "Izakaya". You can ride on public bus to many places such as Edogawa local and Shibamata Temple.

This cache is 2 step type. No chache is hidden at first place. At the 1st point you will see a stature of famous Sumo wrestler called "Tochi-nishiki".

Your mission is to count the numbers of character

You can reach the final point by walk. You will find some JAZZ clubs and JAZZ cafes around there. Search "koiwa Jazz" by Google. I recommend you to visit JAZZ club after finding a cache (if you like).

The cache is placed between public area and private area but we have a permission to place it. So don't hesitate searching it. When you meet a guy when the door is opened, say "Hello, I am a Geocacher" and keep searching ;-)

The container is hard enough and protected by a strong chain. You can use this as a TB hotel.

小岩駅はJR総武線にある駅です。この駅は総武線上では東京で一番東側にある駅でさらに東の駅市川駅は千葉県にあります。小岩駅は北口、南口とも安くておいしいB級グルメの食堂、飲み屋が密集しています。この駅の南側ロータリーからは江戸川区の各方面から葛飾区の柴又帝釈天方面(金町行き)のバスまで多数運行されていてにぎやかな街です。

このキャッシュは二段マルチです。最初の座標には小岩で生まれ育った昭和の名横綱である栃錦が土俵入りしている有名な像があります。この銅像の背面の栃錦の年代史パネルにある「昭」の字の数を数えてください。その数をXYとします。

ファイナル座標は N 35° 44.(X-1)16 E 139° 53.(Y-2)85　です。

ファイナルは駅から歩いて行ける場所です。この付近にはジャズのライブハウス・喫茶店が複数あって週末には一流のミュージシャンの生演奏を聴くことができます。ジャズに興味がある人はキャッシュハンティングをしたあとジャズの生演奏を楽しむのもいいですね。googleで「ジャズ 小岩」と捜すと沢山見つかります。

キャッシュはレギュラーサイズです。（以前は鍵がかけられていましたが現在は鍵はありません）。

キャッシュは微妙に公道と私有地にまたがって置かれていますが土地管理者の方の許可をもらって置いてありますので安心してお探しください。もしドアが開いて人が出てきたら「こんにちはジオキャッシュやってます」と挨拶してそのまま捜索、お宝交換、ログ書きを続けてください。

コンテナは頑丈で鎖によって守られていますのでTBホテルとしてもお使いいただけます。
