Easy roadside cache situated on top of the mountains behind Cape Agulhas affording you panoramic views of Struisbaai, Agulhas, Lighthouse and the Southern Most Tip and a chance to see prestine endemic Kalkrand Fynbos.
The roadway up the mountain is quite rough and should be preferably be attempted by 4x4. It would however also be nice for mountain biking.
A lesson in fynbos:
Fynbos is famous for the its diversity, the unusual composition of its plant species and also for the sheer beauty of many of its wildflowers. This unique vegetation is synonymous with the southern tip of Africa. Two thirds of all fynbos species are found nowhere else on earth.
Situated in the vicinity of the cache is a myriad of Protea, Restio, Erica and Syncarpha or "sewejaartjies" and Pelargonium.
