A simple micro cache with a log (BYO pen) to mark the first home of the original Black Pearl Venturer Unit. (2008-2013)
The Black Pearl Venturer Unit was born when a couple of Scouts in 2008 wanted to join a Venturer Unit (for 14.5-18yo) but couldn't find one that didn't meet on a Friday night. Contrary to what the old sign says, the Unit has met on Tuesdays from then to 2013. Many members have taken part in annual events such as Supersplash and Easter Venture, and some even went overseas to Tasmania in 2012. Everything from remote bushwalking to the performing arts got into the busy programme of this Unit and they moved on to bigger and better future new things in 2013.
So what better to do than leave a cache marking the birthplace of this awesome bunch of teenagers, Chris, Rachel, Kristel, Heath, Lyndall, Timothy, Aragorn, Gwydion, Stuart, and their mascot Jack the undead monkey! (Who lives on caching)
The location is not far from the road, which can get quite busy around school times and Tues, Thurs, Fri meeting nights. Possibly a good one to do at night to avoid the muggles and not worry school types nearby. There is limited parking on the cache side of the road, but watch that traffic and parking sign restrictions. The cache is not near the school.

Some scurvy lot have taken over the Pearl... but its crew have gone on to better and more awesome things!
