Geocache Description:

Located at Cap Sante park and placed with permission. This area is really more of a viewpoint than park. There are a couple of benches and huge boulders to climb for a true 360 degree views. Night-time views offer the lights of Anacortes and any ships out in the water, while daytime views allow for mountain views and a view of Samish Island. If you're lucky, you may even have an up-close encounter with deer as you drive up the winding road to the top.

The name Cap Sante is French for "Cape Health," and it was Anne Curtis Bowman who appointed this name in 1877 when this area was purchased by Anacortes founder Amos Bowman.

The cache is located down the hill from parking as to not conflict with other nearby caches. Walk down the road and look for a small trail that leads into the woods on the east side of the road.  After finding the cache continue on down the trail since this will lead you to the Abandoned amphitheater cache if you have not already found it.
