The cache is located in a nature reserve just outside Mogale City on the West Rand. There is an entrance fee but as a reward you will be able to do 4 caches in one go. There is lots to see and you can spend the day here. It offers a slice of the wild African bush right on our doorstep. The entrance is on the R24- KRUGERSDORP/MAGALIESBURG/ RUSTENBURG road, 2km west of Krugersdorp.
We have placed four caches in this reserve. They are not your normal “plastic container under a pile of rocks” type of cache. We have tried to provide cachers with a few interesting challenges, so we do hope that you will enjoy them immensely.
The four caches are:
1. (Hippo Pool) GC4318E,
2. (Trig Beacon) GC4318M,
3. (You must be nuts) GC4318T and
4. (Kiosk) GC4318G.
We also recommend that you do them in this order as they are in order of distance from the entrance. The terrain is always easily accessable, but the difficulty rating progresses from devious to diabolical.
For this cache you need to follow the road to the lion enclosure.
Please ensure that you sign the logbook [please bring your own pen!] and replace the cache as you found it.
