Geocache Description:

First of the Geauga Park District caches to be placed for 2013.

Bass Lake was previously known as Munson Pond and was once a popular vacation destination for Clevelanders.
A hotel, cabins and dance hall were built across the lake where a private home now stands.

A pair of bald eagles have nested here and return each year so bring your binoculars.

The lake is open to fish from your own boat by first obtaining a boating permit from GPD. Click here for boat permit information

The boats on the shore are privately owned.

Currently there are no walking trails. Map link Park is open from 6am to 11pm.
