If you are reading this message, it means you have been selected to carry out a mission of the utmost importance.
We are the Torchwood Institute, an organization charged with monitoring paranormal activity on the planet Earth. One hundred years ago today, agents of our organization projected that on this date, as predicted in ancient Central American texts, an anomaly of unimaginable magnitude would become manifest, threatening the very existence of humanity itself. This must not be allowed to happen.
Travel to the listed coordinates, locate the temporal beacon, and open it. Torchwood agents from the year 1912 have left documentation in a state of temporal flux inside the beacon. Review it, and take whatever course of action is required to contain the anomaly. Once you're satisfied that the anomaly has been contained, report back. Good luck.
