Le recueil : La légende des siècles (victor Hugo), est l’histoire de l'Humanité conçue par un poète.
Dans le poème Booz endormi on peut lire .
Ruth songeait et Booz dormait ; l'herbe était noire ;
Les grelots des troupeaux palpitaient vaguement ;
Une immense bonté tombait du firmament ;
C'était l'heure tranquille où les lions vont boire.



De ces écrits vient le nom de ce centre commercial au quartier des deux lions.
