Geocache Description:

This is a difficult field puzzle. Could take a while and maybe need several visits.

A multi with a field puzzle.
This area has some legendary caches hidden nearby - the oldest cache in Australia ( a virtual called Lane Cove GC3E ) The Bogle Chandler Mystery GC865F with some interesting local history and the super fun Frustration GC27NRZ . Note that with Frustration it seems that if you carry on along the path that you will get to WP1 of that cache - don't even try - you will be turning it into a terrain 5 :)
This is a micro cache hidden near a fantastic raised walkway through some amazing bush. Make sure you enjoy the whole of the walkway, bring a picnic and enjoy it halfway along on a lovely bench with an incredible view up a valley.
You will need some special tools to retrieve but don’t worry everything you need will be provided. This would be easier to do in a team but can be done solo.
The coordinates provided will lead  you to a sign near the recommended parking. That sign has the information needed to reach your next stop.
Here you should find a toolbox containing everything that you will need to achieve your final goal. There will also be a few things you don’t need, just to lead you astray. Please do not remove or add anything – These are not swops.
Hidden nearby are some further distractions – you may reach a dead end, find a red herring or go on a wild goose chase. Don’t worry, each of these will bring you closer to your goal. You may even stumble upon them before you find the tool box – however you may  not be able to retrieve some of them without the tools provided.
To find out where the final container is hidden  some measurements are available to you:
1. If you reach a dead end you will be about as far from GZ as six times the amount of line you would need  if you went fishing for herring.
2. If you go on a wild goose chase you need to travel a chains length to the final.
3. If you catch a red herring you are about as far away as a piece of string.
NOTE ADDED 5/7/2013 - the fishing hole has been destroyed - you can still work out the puzzle using the following - The old fishing spot is a tree marked with some cable ties in a Northwesterlyish direction from the toolbox and the length of line you would have discovered would have been 1 metre in length. Of course you may just stumble onto the final container by accident but if you find all three clues you will know exactly where to look.
Please replace everything as you found it. No spoilers in logs please.
I would highly recommend printing this page out for reference in the field. If you find ALL THREE distractions - you can work out pretty much exactly where the cache is. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BREAK/ALTER/UNDO ANYTHING BELONGING TO THE COUNCIL. NO FORCE REQUIRED.
