This cache is located in the wonderful Queen Elizabeth Park in an enchanting hidden corner away from the main walking tracks. Access is via one of several minor tracks, and some routes are easier than others.
It is recommended to park at the Raumati South entrance to the park and to start out on the coastal track. The last hundred metres should be approached slowly and quietly to catch a glimpse of the local inhabitants. Depending on the route taken, a short steep climb will be required to reach the cache.
The cache is a 150ml plastic container and contains a logbook, pencil, and a few small swaps.
Please note that mountain bikes are restricted to the main tracks in this part of Queen Elizabeth Park. Please replace the cache carefully.

The area has changed a great deal since the last time I came here. It would seem that the rabbits which used to be so abundant here have been completely eradicated with the result that the grass which used to be continually nibbled short is now a metre tall. It is still a fairly straightforward matter to reach the cache by a direct route, but for those who don't wish to wade through the grass there is a track which takes a circuitous route around the rim of the 'bowl' and takes you to within a couple of metres of the cache. I have added a waypoint showing the start of this track. The cache is in place and is in good order. I will give some thought to it's future as the cache title no longer makes any sense and watching the rabbits here is something we liked to do when Barnacle Boy was younger and is something we thought other visitors would enjoy too.
